    Sold

    SOLD.

A large and brilliantly executed semi-abstract modernist oil composition, painted in 1974 by the established Swedish artist Ivar Morsing (1919-2009), whose works have been exhibited in public collections including the National Museum in Stockholm, Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Kalmar Museum and Jönköping Museum.

The painting depicts two otherworldly figures walking through an open and uncultivated landscape. Painted in a semi-abstract manner, the artist has left out realistic details and has used expressive and textured brushstrokes to capture this scene.

To add to the painting’s mysterious feel, the figures are not scaled proportionally to their surrounding and are larger in size.
