FAQ

The Collection

We have a studio in both Bristol and London, but most of the artworks are stored in our Bristol studio.

Yes all our paintings are original, hand painted, one-off pieces. Our prints are also original fine art prints, signed by the artist. We do not carry mass produced paintings or prints.

Yes. If you see a frame in the photos in the listing, it is included. If the piece is unframed, it will be clearly stated in the listing.

If an artwork you are interested in is currently unframed, we can certainly help with making suggestions, ordering or even installing a frame.

If the artwork comes with an existing frame but you would like to have it changed, we can help with this too.

You can contact us here.

Any condition issues will be stated clearly in the listings, and included in the photographs for each listing.

Please note all of the artworks we sell are pre-owned and unless otherwise stated, their condition is typical for their age. This can sometimes include slight changes in colour, yellowing to the varnish, and minor bumps and bruises. We have tried to include as many close-up photos as possible.

Should you need more photos or wish to ask us more questions regarding an item’s condition, feel free to contact us, we are always happy to help.

When selecting pieces for the collection, our choices are based not on name but on quality, subject matter and a visual connection. In the art world, so much emphasis is placed on the name behind an artwork, falsely convincing people that unless an artwork is by someone famous, it doesn’t hold much value.

So it has been a conscious decision to focus more on describing the piece in a way that encourages you to focus on the appeal of the artwork, as opposed to names or birth and death dates.

If you would like artist information on a particular piece, we are always happy to provide that information if we have it. You can contact us here.

When we say ‘vintage’ we mean that they were painted some time ago and haven’t come directly from the artist. The paintings in our collection are generally one from the 1920s to the 1980s. Most are pre-owned, secondary market pieces.

It depends. We have recently started to include artists whose work fits the style of our collection (i.e. modernist). You are welcome to send in your portfolio and rough price range via email, and we will be in touch if we think they might be a good fit!

We are an online gallery so we don’t have a physical exhibition space. If there are particular pieces that you’d like to see, contact us and we can get them out of storage for you to view on a mutually agreed date and time. Please note that the majority of our artworks are stored in Bristol.

Yes. Please contact us with what you would like to purchase and we can offer a trade price.

If you let us know how many pieces you are looking for and send us photos of your space we can certainly help with that.

Yes. If needed, we can recommend pieces based on the size and style of the space you need to fill. We can also offer a group discount if you intend on buying several pieces at once. Contact us here.

FAQ

Shipping & Delivery

We take great care when it comes to packaging up the art. All our pieces are one-off and the last thing we want is for a painting to get damaged.

The paintings are wrapped with a layer of acid-free paper, then bubble wrapped, then cushioned by eco-friendly paper cushioning strips, then sealed within a custom sized double-walled cardboard box.

We use recycled and eco-friendly packaging.
