The two compositions are designed to complement each other: one showing a gentle line of birch trees standing in rhythmic formation, the other depicting a quiet rise with a few slender trunks and a simple wire fence stretching across the horizon.

The artist has used a restrained modernist palette of blush pink, misty grey, and muted greens, allowing atmosphere and tone to take centre stage.
