The painting depicts a bustling scene of a train station, with several figures in the foreground, including a horse-drawn carriage, a group of structures including the station and a water fountain, as well as a glimpse of the front of the train in the background. The composition features brushstrokes in an expressive style, with areas of impasto where thick creamy paint is visible, creating lots of texture within the painting. The colours are vibrant and uplifting, and there is a sense of dynamism, energy and joyfulness to the piece.

This oil on board is housed in a complementary wood frame with an inner linen lining. Both the painting and frame are in in excellent vintage condition.
