A group of objects including a wine bottle, a pitcher and a tray are placed by the corner of a window sill, and we are also presented with a glimpse of a view of the surrounding houses outside.
The artist has skilfully managed to capture stillness in this painting, providing us (the viewer) an opportunity to observe intricate details such as the shadows cast from the tray and pitcher, as well as reflection of the green wine bottle against the side surface.
A subdued colour palette including light shades of green, yellow and blue have been used, instilling calm in this painting. And the respective objects are defined by thin black outlines, drawing our attention to their individual shapes and forms.
