The figure is shrouded in the shadow of the building before him, imbuing this painting with an air of mystery and intrigue. The brushstrokes in this piece are loose and expressive, creating wonderful rhythm and texture within the composition. The artist has wonderfully captured the charm and patina of the old buildings and street.

This oil on board is housed a lovely painted frame. The painting is in very good vintage condition. The frame has some marks and scuffs, as shown in close ups.
