    The scene appears to be of two swimmers, captured from a very interesting angle. It is almost as if we, the viewers, are under the water looking up at them. The two figures have just dived in, and we see the swoosh of the water and bubbles all around them.

    The artist has left the composition very ‘open’, using broad and expressive brushstrokes to capture the effect of the moving water. The figures have also been paired right down, their bodies only partially visible.

    A very interesting and striking mid century cubist oil composition, painted onto board.

    With a focus on form, shape, line, pattern and colour, the artist has taken an interesting perspective of a building. The outer rim of the composition features expressive swathes of blue, perhaps indicative of water. The house could be situated along the coast, and the artist has captured the sea and its waves surrounding the structure. To the left are a set of steps, as well as green forms that appear to be trees.

    Here the landscape of a house by the sea has been transformed into a series of geometric shapes. All the elements in this picture seem to sit on the same level – on the flat surface of the picture, with no foreground or background, and no illusion of receding space.

    This oil on board is housed in its original mid century frame that has a sand like aggregate on its border. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has some age and slight widening to its corner joins. There are some losses to the inner textured border on the frame but this does not detract from its overall attractiveness.
