Although largely abstract and very much subjective in terms of what we can discern, this piece seems to allude to a topographical night time scene of a village. White houses are dotted around amongst valleys and plains, but this rolling landscape has been flattened out by the artist, distorting the sense of space and depth. Whatever one is able to discern, at the crux of it, we see a very satisfying modernist composition of shape, form and colour juxtaposed.
