A striking harbour town scene, painted in mixed media onto board, by British artist Elaine Allender.

Depicting a view of Fowey Quay in Cornwall, a quaint little sea town that clings along one steep side of the harbour. The artist has created lots of texture in this harbour scene, by building up collaged layers of paint and paper and sealing it with varnish, adding depth and interest to the composition. Elaine is inspired by the Cornish coastline, and her paintings wonderfully capture the character of the beautiful region.

This painting is housed in a white wooden frame that draws the eye inward towards the painting due to its deep profile. Both painting and frame are in excellent condition.
