Le Club 55 is a legendary and glamorous beach club in the south of France, and we can infer that the setting of the painting is within its interior. Punctuating the center of the composition are two well-dressed figures standing in front of white round table, with 2 wine glasses in front of them. The background of the painting is composed of an interesting mix of collage including wine labels and an image of a sail boat.

The artwork depicts a side profile view of a young figure dressed in blue clothing, and standing beside a lamp. The lamp is glowing with warm orange light, resulting in the figure’s hair and small parts of his silhouette to have an orange gleam as well.
Set against a light beige background, the artist has used a range of luminous colours including orange, purple, blue and green, and displays effective painterly skills in the medium of oil. Beautifully distinct and expressive brushstrokes fill the canvas, creating a vibrant and almost translucent and diaphanous effect that resembles the nature of watercolour.
