The couch where the figure lays captures our attention. Adorned with a striking floral print motif in shades of green and pink, it adds a dynamic burst of colour against the neutral backdrop.

Beneath the figure, the floor unfolds in a black and white chequered board pattern. An apple with a single bite taken from it rests on the floor, introducing a subtle narrative element.

This painting comes unframed, and is an oil that has been painted onto canvas which has been laid down to board, making the painting quite heavy. There is craquelure present to the upper left as shown due to thickness of paint.
