A large, bold and striking figurative composition, executed in oil onto canvas and dated 1976, and comes unframed.

The composition captures a moment of communal life as it presents a gathering of a tribe. Some members are seated in the foreground, surrounded by an abundance of fruit, fish, and drinks, while others stand behind them, holding baskets and jugs.

The artist has employed a restrained yet striking palette of orange, red, white, and black. The deep black of the figures contrasts beautifully against the fiery hues, creating a dynamic and visually arresting composition.

The clothing of the figures is adorned with patterns, including stripes, adding to the richness and depth of the piece. The artist’s technique of using dark outlines to highlight the forms enhances the clarity and definition of each individual and object.
