    A very lively and enchanting mid-century composition in oil, painted by Swedish artist Uno Vallman (1913-2004) whose works are included in the Swedish National Museum and The Swedish Modern Museum, to name a few. His works are also included in the collections of Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter, and the Tessin Institute in Paris.

    With its almost mosaic-like effect and  illustrative quality, this playful composition features rich colours and lots of detail – a very recognisable style within Vallman’s oeuvre.

    The artist plays with patterns and outlines in this bustling scene of people in what appears to be the desert, with a view of huts followed by hilly landscapes in the background.

    The brushstrokes are swift and expressive, and the painting has a very lively and uplifting feel to it.
