The painting presents a table setting within dense garden setting surrounded by an expanse of muted green shades. Seated away from the table, a female figure occupying a chair punctuates the center of the composition, her presence is enigmatic as her facial features are omitted.

Expressive brushstrokes have been confidently executed across the canvas, creating a sense of movement and depth within the forested backdrop, and the muted earthy tones imbue the work with a sense of calm.

This oil on canvas is housed in a white-painted ornate frame that adds character to the piece. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has slight wear and paint loss, as shown.
