The central cactus dominates the composition with its upright, almost sculptural form, flanked by 2 other leafy plants on its sides. Through the window, the viewer glimpses a townscape with brown and red buildings, softened by pale skies and winter-bare trees.

Painted in an expressive style, the work fuses still life with urban landscape. It is representational but simplified, with a strong emphasis on shape, form, and the interplay between interior and exterior space. The artist captures not just the plants themselves, but also the mood of the scene – a quiet, contemplative moment of domestic life through the use of earthy muted shades.
