A striking mid-century pair that captures a bold interplay of form and colour across two abstract compositions, painted in oil by Swedish painter Hans Osswald (1919-1983), whose works have been exhibited at the National Museum in Stockholm, Malmö Museum as well as The Brooklyn Museum.

One panel features a cool-toned palette of slate grey, deep navy, teal, and pale blue, punctuated by a vertical yellow accent and small geometric whites and blacks. A strong horizontal composition grounds the piece, evoking a minimalist seascape or terrain without literal reference.
