    A large and outstanding mid century modernist abstract figurative composition in oil, painted onto board by Swedish painter Hans Osswald (1919-1983), whose works have been exhibited at the National Museum in Stockholm, Malmö Museum as well as The Brooklyn Museum.

    The painting presents a bold and dynamic interpretation of the human form, fragmented into intersecting shapes and saturated blocks of colour. At the centre, a green torso-like shape anchors the composition, surrounded by gestural planes of midnight blue, ivory white, forest green, sky grey, and cerulean.
