His works are also included in the collections of Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter, and the Tessin Institute in Paris.
With its almost mosaic-like effect and an illustrative quality, this playful composition features bright colours and lots of detail – a very recognisable style within Vallman’s oeuvre. The artist plays with pattern and outlines in the scene of people in a large gallery with chandeliers above them. The painting is very lively and uplifting, and has wonderful areas of texture where the artist has used thick dollops of paint in an impasto technique.
