An enchanting and playful landscape composition, executed in oil onto canvas by Swedish artist Uno Vallman (1913-2004), whose works are included in the Swedish National Museum and The Swedish Modern Museum, to name a few. His works are also included in the collections of Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter, and the Tessin Institute in Paris.
The painting depicts a figure dressed in blue strolling in a lush forest with trees. we can also discern a blue lake beyond the forest.
Containing elements of fauvism and expressionism, this striking painting emphasises rich colours and decorative pattern.
The artist has used a rich and uplifting palette including shades of green, blue, and red. Distinct energetic and intuitive brushstrokes also fill the canvas, adding a nice light texture and imbuing the work with a sense of dynamism.
