    A lively and vibrant mid-century still life painting that conveys a sense of life and dynamism through its abstract style, executed in oil onto canvas and dated 1963.

    The central focus is an orange vase, positioned on a surface, filled with an explosion of flowers. Abstract in nature, all realistic details have been omitted, and the painting is characterised by its vivid use of rich colour as well as bold, expressive brushstrokes.

    Through the use of sweeping broad strokes that have been confidently executed, swathes of bright orange, deep purple, golden yellows, and vibrant blues and greens blend and overlap, creating a sense of movement and energy that suggests the lively vibrancy of a floral arrangement in full bloom.

    This oil on canvas is housed in a wood frame with an inner gilt window that pairs wonderfully with the painting. Both the painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
