Depicted in this humble and very charming painting is a Welsh lady, dressed recognisably in national dress. She has the tall black hat complete with a white mob cap, and a blue patterned dress. The artist has painted her in a stylised matter, accentuating her cheeks and hair with simple shapes and lines.
This oil on board is housed in a decoratively carved wood frame. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has some very minor scuffing.
