A unique and intriguing abstract figurative composition dated 1976, that employs a combination of oil and collage techniques.

Executed in an abstract manner, the artwork portrays a figure with his hands raised by his face, and is brimming with expressive energy.  Rich colours of red, blue, and yellow have been executed with broad and bold brushstrokes, conveying a sense of emotional depth.

In addition to the application of oil, the artist has incorporated collage elements into the composition. Stripes of paper, carefully selected and arranged, intersect and intertwine with the painted surface. These collaged elements create a sense of depth as well as a textural quality, further enhancing the visual impact of the artwork.

This mixed media on card is housed in a bright gold frame with gold inner border. There is a small loss to the lower right corner of the frame, but overall the appearance is very good. The painting is in excellent vintage condition.
