A very large and charming mid century modernist cityscape of Stockholm, executed in oil onto board.

The painting presents a very pleasant panoramic view of the city, and is filled with details for a viewer to observe. The foreground of the artwork depicts a road with moving vehicles. In the middle of the painting, we see a bridge crossing a river filled with boats, as well as some figures strolling along the waterfront promenade that is surrounded by  buildings and trees. In the background of the painting, more buildings stretch into the horizon.

The artist has used a combination of light and gentle colours as well as soft sweeping brushstrokes to wonderfully capture the soothing vibes of the city.

This oil on board is housed in a beautiful deep profile heavy wood frame with multiple windows. There are losses and signs of ageing to the frame as shown in the photos. The painting is in excellent vintage condition.
