A vibrant and richly textured mid-century still-life painting, executed in oil onto board.

The composition presents a bouquet of orange flowers, placed atop a table and against a blue backdrop.

The combination of a rich colour pallet as well as expressive and textured brushstrokes imbues the painting with energy. Through the skillful use of the impasto technique, thick, creamy layers of oil paint have been applied generously by the artist, giving this painting a real tactility.

This oil on board is housed in a bronzed frame with a decorative edge. The frame has some wear to the corners and a moulding loss to the upper edge, which has been painted over in gold, as shown. The painting is in excellent vintage condition.
