A stunning mid century figure study executed in oil, painted onto board.

The artist has beautifully captured the form of the figure’s body, using a subtle range of beige, pink and nude tones, skilfully blending the figure into the background yet keeping her form distinct from the scene.

This very masterful study features broad and gestural brushstrokes, creating texture and three dimensionality while still maintaining its wonderfully delicate nature.

This small yet powerful oil painting is housed in a very complementary gilt frame. There is a very small area of surface loss to the top edge of the painting, as shown in close ups, but this does not detract from the overall attractiveness of the piece. There is very minor scuffing to the frame.
