A charming and lively mid-century figurative painting depicting a pair of Mexican dancers, painted in oil onto board.

Set against a striking mustard-coloured background are 2 figures dressed in Mexican hats and elaborate clothing that are engaged in the act of dancing.

Although painted in a realistic manner and with detailed brushstrokes, the artist has intentionally left out the figures’ facial details, focusing our attention on the art of dance and the intricate detailing of their beautiful costumes.

This painting is in very good vintage condition. It is housed in a complementary dark wood frame with an inner and outer gilt window. There are some scuffs to the frame’s gilt border, but nothing that detracts from the overall attractiveness of the piece.
