The beauty of the natural landscape is already wonderfully magnificent, but what the artist has done in this painting is to take a step further.
He or she has managed to take a mountain – what is usually deemed to be strong, steady and stable in form – and has filled it with life and activity, so much so that it is as active as sky and water surrounding it. The vitality of the brushstrokes – so many of them large, strong and independent, forming patterns and textures all on their own – enlivens the mountains and its immediate surroundings. The artist’s has used his own personal vision and has transformed it into a part of the landscape of the mind.
The painting in good vintage condition. There is a tiny hole on each of the 4 outermost corners from the previous frame but these do not detract from the painting.
It comes in a beautiful fabric-lined wood frame, and there are some marks around the outermost edges of frame.
Size: 45 x 55cm (including frame)
