An outstanding modernist figurative composition dated 1974, and executed in oil by the established Swedish artist Ture Fabiansson (1910-1994), whose works have been exhibited in public collections including the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, The Museum of Art in Gothenburg, Jönköping Museum, Borås Art Museum, and many others.

The composition presents an orange interior setting, where 2 musicians including a violinist and a clarinet player are captured during a music concert.

The colour palette employed by the artist is characterised by soft and uplifting muted shades of orange, green, purple, and cream. These gentle colours harmonise wonderfully together, evoking a feeling of warmth and optimism, and inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the scene.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary slim gilt frame. There are two tiny areas of paint loss to the upper right section of the painting, but the paint layer is stable and this is not very noticeable. Overall the painting and frame are in very good vintage condition.
