A group of figures stand against an abstract, muted backdrop composed of earthy tones such as olive green, brown, blue, and hints of mustard yellow and clay.

The artist has skilfully reduced the figures and background into blocks of contrasting colours that harmonise and overlap, creating a sense of depth.

Bold black outlines emphasise the figures’ silhouettes, yet they seem to blend into the background, suggesting a unity between the human forms and their environment.

Expressive, short brushstrokes give the composition a dynamic, lively energy, as though the scene is constantly shifting, reflecting the interplay of movement and stillness.

This oil on canvas is housed in complementary slim wood frame. Both the painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
