A captivating abstract landscape composition, executed in oil onto canvas, and dated 1999 on reverse.

The painting presents a vast and expanse field with some blue houses in the horizon, and executed in a semi-abstract manner, all realistic details have been omitted.

The painting is characterised by its rich texture, as well as the use of an intentionally limited yet rich colour palette comprising varying shades of blue predominately.

The artist has worked with the paint dynamically, skilfully applying it on the canvas through the use of a palette knife and using the impasto technique. This not only creates a smooth and creamy texture, but the beautiful layering and blending of colours add an element of interest as well as demonstrate a sense of depth to the painting.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary slim white frame. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has minor paint loss.
