A vibrant and expressive fauvist landscape composition, executed in oil onto canvas and dated 1982.

The scene is dominated by a pathway leading towards a serene lake, surrounded by lush greenery and trees.

The foliage, painted in rich autumnal colours such as deep oranges, yellows, and greens, contrasts with patches of cool blue and darker hues in the distant hills and sky.

The brushwork is loose and dynamic, lending a sense of movement and spontaneity to the scene, which is characteristic of Fauvist techniques.

The artist has used bold and rich colours to evoke emotion and to capture the beauty of nature in a stylised manner.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary wood frame with an inner gilt border. Both the painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
