A striking mid-century figurative oil painting that presents an enigmatic image of a figure cloaked in shadow, executed in oil onto canvas

The subject, defined by broad, gestural brushstrokes, is rendered in deep blacks and beige, wearing a dark coat and a brimmed hat that casts an air of mystery.
