An atmospheric and restful coastal landscape composition, executed in oil onto board and dated 1967.

The painting captures the essence of a tranquil and panoramic seashore scene as soft sand lines the coast, and a magnificent view of a vast sea stretches out into the distant horizon.

Soft gentle colours of pale muted blues, white and touches of earthy brown and sand dominate the surface, evoking a serene and peaceful ambiance. These contrasting shades have been thoughtfully selected and applied to demonstrate a sense of depth.

The brushwork is loose and impressionistic, displaying the artist’s desire to capture the natural and transient atmospheric elements.

This oil on board is housed in a complementary wood frame with an inner linen border. Both the painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
