A subtle and outstanding mid-century figurative painting, executed in oil onto board by the established Swedish artist Fabian Lundqvist (1913-1989), whose works have been represented in many public collections in Sweden.

The silhouettes of three female figures punctuate the painting. Depicted in dark brown attire, they are the focal point of the composition as their colours contrast starkly against the lighter tones of the surrounding environment. The artist has used gentle and muted blocks of cream, taupe, and peach to paint the background. These soft and subdued colours add a touch of warmth and contribute to the tranquil ambiance.
