An expressive and wonderfully textured mid-century mini abstract figurative composition, painted in oil onto paper.

Small yet impactful in its composition, the painting presents a poignant portrait a bust of a figure. The textured figure, rendered in earthy tones of yellow and muted blue, is positioned against a white background with an uneven surface.

The artist’s skilful impasto technique creates a tactile, almost sculptural surface, inviting viewers to explore the raw and expressive brushstrokes that define the figure’s form.

This oil on paper is framed within a white mount and a silver metal frame, and is glazed (there is a layer of glass between the frame and the painting to ensure its longevity). The painting is in very good vintage condition, and the frame has minor scuffing.
