We are presented with a view of a narrow alleyway passing through towering buildings in a city. Through the use of lines, the artist has skilfully captured linear perspective in this painting to demonstrate depth.

Working with a restrained naturalistic colour palette, contrasting colours have been beautifully layered to capture the raw feel of the building surfaces and evoke tactility.

This oil on board is housed in a complementary wide-profiled frame. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has some areas of scuffing but this does not detract from its overall attractiveness.
