Modernist in its ethos, the artist has skilfully reduced the composition down to blocks of contrasting colour. The use of rich saturated colours—ranging from warm orange, to azure blue and to lush forest greens—creates a vivid contrast that breathes life into the composition. In addition to this, expressive and painterly dabs have been executed with a confident hand.

Overall, the harmonious interplay of shapes and colours brings energy to the moment.

This oil on board is housed in a complementary slim gilt frame. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has light scuffing.
