A vibrant and striking mid-century abstract composition with a geometric and modernist aesthetic, executed in oil onto board.

The composition seems to abstractly depict a fragmented architectural scene, possibly hinting at building structures. The prominent yellow circle in the upper section likely represents the sun.

Containing elements of abstraction, the work exhibits a playful yet organised arrangement of forms. It is characterised by geometric shapes, bold flat areas of colour, and there is an emphasis on balance and structure.

The colour palette is striking yet harmonious, featuring muted tones of orange, teal, blue, cream, and green, punctuated by the bright yellow of the sun. These colours create a sense of warmth and balance, with the darker teal and orange adding depth.

This oil on board is housed in a very well-suited wood frame with a linen lined border. The painting is in excellent vintage condition. The frame has slight age toning present to its linen border, but this is in keeping with its vintage style.
