The artist has used deep, rich, and vivid colours which have been applied to the surface with broad, and distinct brushstrokes. The artist has captured the morning light beautifully, using an array of colours to depict the effect of light against the objects, the table, the wall and the window sill. The distinctive blues, greens and yellows repeat themselves throughout the composition, creating a very harmonious and satisfying still life picture.

This oil painting is housed in a simple silver frame which suits it very well and complements its palette. Both painting and frame are in very good vintage condition.
