This scenic composition presents a coastal scape that is lined with houses by the coast. In the middle of the painting, sailboats are sailing off in the blue waters, and in the far horizon, we can spot a row of mountains.

Painted in an expressionist manner, the artist has used a combination of rich colours as well as short, expressive and energetic brushstrokes –  adding a beautiful uplifting quality to the painting.

This oil on canvas is housed in a light wooden frame with inner linen border. The linen border has some age toning, in keeping with age and style. The painting is in excellent vintage condition.
