A serene mid-century modernist style still-life painting, executed in oil onto canvas.

Simple yet effective in its composition, white flowers in a dark brown pot rests on a table with a white tablecloth. Beside the flower pot is a vibrant yellow fruit, and its vibrant punctuates the composition with a touch of vivid contrast. The objects are set against a maroon and grey backdrop within the interior setting.

The artist’s smooth and gentle brushstrokes as well as subdued colours contribute to the soothing effect of the piece, evoking a sense of calm and quiet contemplation.

This oil on canvas is is housed in a complementary slim silver frame.  Both the painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
