An elegant modernist still life painting, executed in oil on canvas.

This composition depicts a group of objects including a copper jug, as well as apples and pears laid across a wooden table with a white tablecloth placed on it.

The artist has used a soft and soothing colour palette to create this finely executed still life, with gentle and detailed brushwork as well as skilful application of colours that capture the three-dimensional qualities of the objects. We also get a real sense of the light reflecting off the copper jug, as well as the shadows of the fruit and jug cast upon the tablecloth.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary slim white frame. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
