The painting presents a scenic view of a coastal walk that leads to a lighthouse in the distance. On the left side of the composition, we get a view of an inviting blue sea by a sandy shore, and on the right, a row of coastal huts in various colours line the coast.

Drawing on a distinctly modernist ethos, the artist has masterfully reduced the scene down to blocks and planes of contrasting colours, to create a sense of depth and space in this painting.

The use of a soft and gentle muted colours including shades of beige, sand, and blue imbues the work with a calm and soothing aesthetic.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary gilt frame with an inner linen border. Both the painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
