A mid-century artwork that features a surreal and minimalist composition that plays with the concept of introspection.

The painting depicts a large, dark silhouette of a head on the left side,  with an overlapping, pale pink profile on the right. The silhouette and the profile share the same facial outline but contrast in colour, creating a sense of depth and symbolic layering of identity.

On the far right, a narrow vertical strip introduces a textured, deep blue and green background, resembling a forest scene at night. Within this area, two small figures are visible, standing by a tree. This detail adds an intriguing narrative element, perhaps symbolising relationships, or the journey of self-discovery.

This oil on board is housed in a complementary silver frame. The painting has a horizontal mark at its lower half, and a tiny area of scuffing on its right, as shown in close ups. The frame has some scuffing present.
