A very striking mid century geometric abstract figurative composition, executed in oil and gouache onto canvas.

The composition depicts what appears to be 2 elongated figures that have been fragmented, abstracted and reduced down to bold geometric outlines. By breaking the figures down into distinct geometric shapes and adding thin white painted lines across various parts of their silhouettes, the artist shows us different viewpoints at the same time and within the same space, emphasising their three dimensional form.

This oil and gouache painting is housed in a complementary gilt frame with linen border. The frame has some scuffs, but overall the frame and painting are in excellent vintage condition. The painting is housed behind glass, so please note that there is some reflection in the photographs.
