A serene and wonderfully executed mid-century modernist landscape composition, painted in oil onto canvas and dated 1948.

The scene features two barns with orange roofs nestled within a lush forest setting. The painting is semi-abstract in nature, with all realistic details omitted, and the scene being reduced down to planes of contrasting colour.
