A serene and minimalistic landscape painting, executed in oil onto board and dated 1967.

The artwork captures the beauty of a vast desert terrain painted with soft and gentle brushstrokes. The sky above is bathed in a muted taupe, that adds to the overall sense of calm, evoking the feeling of a tranquil desert evening as the day transitions into night.

Primarily consisting of various shades of brown and taupe, the artist has skillfully layered these colours to convey a sense of depth and vastness.

Scattered throughout the landscape are carefully placed tree shrubs and greenery. Their subdued muted green hues provide a subtle contrast against the dominant browns, and act as focal points within the composition and also add a touch of life to the otherwise arid landscape.

This oil on board is housed in a complementary slim gilt frame. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
