The artist has used a bold and expressive style – confidently executing visible brushstrokes that add texture and dynamism, particularly in the depiction of the waves, which are layered with impasto strokes of white and dark blue to capture their motion and energy.
This oil on board is set in a complementary silver frame. There are some very minor surface marks to painting but these do not detract from its overall appearance. The frame has some scuffs and paint loss.
