The painting presents a vibrant forest scene. Executed in a semi-abstract manner, all realistic details have been omitted and the composition has been reduced to vertical strokes that suggest slender tree trunks, as well as blocks of colour swathes that resemble leaves and the earthy ground.

The artist has selected an earthy autumnal palette featuring rich shades of browns and reds, with flashes of green and blue, imbuing the painting with a sense of warmth. The brushstrokes are dynamic and painterly, creating an expressive and lively depiction of a forest.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary deep profile gilt frame. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has light scuffs.
