A beautifully textured mid-century modernist style landscape composition, executed in oil onto canvas.

At the heart of the canvas stand two trees that have vibrant yellow leaves and a distinctive white bark with black spots. They are situated in a landscape setting filled with greenery and boulders, and are swaying in the wind.

The artist has wonderfully layered rich colours and his masterful use of the impasto technique adds a raw and tactile quality to the painting. Thick, textured strokes create a palpable sense of depth and dimension, enhancing the character of the artwork.

This oil on canvas is housed in a well-suited wood frame with an inner linen border. The painting has some scattered craquelure due to thickness of paint (as shown in close ups) but paint layer is stable.
